On Friday, May 30, 2008 The Madison Theater was proud to welcome legendary Texas performer ROBERT EARL KEEN and THE ROBERT EARL KEEN BAND as well as the hundreds of fans who showed up to hear Robert and the two other bands on the bill that evening perform. Following the concert (next photo below) ROBERT EARL KEEN met with each and every person in the audience to shake hands, sign autographs, as well as take pictures too--much to the delight of every person who lined up for this rare opportunity.

Touring with ROBERT EARL KEEN on and off for five years, MATT KING, occupied the middle slot and brought with him a trio which consisted of himself on guitar, Dan Cohen on bass, and the grandson of country legend JERRY REED on drums.

Getting the night off to a good start was the exact same act we brought in to open our show featuring Nashville's THE STEEL DRIVERS and that was Cincinnati's COMET BLUEGRASS ALL STARS (photo above) who provided a solid performance as openers for ROBERT EARL KEEN as well. If you missed this show, you missed a night out that was memorable and will not soon be forgotten!
