The Marcia Brady Interview 3/9/08

CLICK HERE to listen to the exclusive MP3 AUDIO INTERVIEW with TV Personality MAUREEN McCORMICK a/k/a MARCIA BRADY recorded with Rick Flynn on 3/9/08.
|
The Butler County, Ohio Board of MRDD sponsored Maureen McCormick's appearance in Greater Cincinnati on March 9, 2008 where she was the featured guest at a special reception and dinner they hosted that day. Also in attendance at the event was Maureen's brother who came with her from California especially to attend the event. During the actual reception, a lot of fans showed up and they brought with them every conceivable kind of Brady Bunch memorabilia you could possibly imagine for Maureen to sign.
|
As you can see, the line was long, as was the wait, to see the grown up version of the little girl we loved to watch on TV during the series--which ran from September 26, 1969 to August 30, 1974 on the ABC network and was then syndicated world wide. Maureen, who played the role of Marcia Brady, was the oldest daughter of the Brady's and was seen and loved by millions.

Despite catering to the hundreds of fans who showed up to see her, Maureen was kind enough to take time out of her schedule to grant us this EXCLUSIVE MP3 AUDIO INTERVIEW for the thousands of you who visit our fan site each month to listen to. Maureen, who is now a TV personality on CMT (Country Music Television) as well as for ACCESS HOLLYWOOD, among her other projects, took time out to see and comment on The Madison Theater's forthcoming lineup of country music shows which feature some of the best acts in the business today, as well as some new and up and coming country acts that will soon be hitting the stage at our theater.

The photo above was shown to Maureen, during the interview, and is a still storage printout of a live TV broadcast which featured THE MONKEE'S lead singer, Davy Jones. (That's The Madison's Rick Flynn on stage left in blue wearing the leather gloves) During his stage show, Davy asked his audience if anyone remembered him taking Marcia Brady to the prom. Judging from the amount of screams and hollers that happened after he posed the question, it was clear many of them did!

We wish to thank Maureen McCormick, as well as THE BUTLER COUNTY, OHIO MRDD, for their kind assistance too. Time was very limited here, as you might expect, but the fact that Maureen would take time out of her busy schedule to speak to THE OFFICIAL MADISON THEATER FANSITE is indicative of exactly the kind of person she is. She is no longer little Marcia Brady. It was indeed a thrill and a pleasure to meet her and to include her on our fan pages. It is a very special event that will not be soon forgotten!
